Terms and conditions
Payment Terms:

Payments can be made by cash or cheque and are payable before you collect your dog from kennels.

During our peak season we require a deposit. Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of your deposit.

Deposits are non-refundable unless we receive a minimum of two full weeks’ notice, a small handling fee may be charged.

We reserve the right to revise our prices when necessary. All prices quoted will be at the rate prevailing at the time of booking.

Any Vets fees that are the responsibility of the client must be settled at the time of collection.


Whilst Dogs are covered for vet’s fees incurred as a result of staying with us, they are not covered for any condition that is not the responsibility of Fernilea.


Proof of vaccinations is required.

All dogs must be fully covered against D,H,L,P,PI. With the yearly booster up to date.

Dogs must also be covered by the Kennel Cough Vaccine. This must be given at least two weeks before the dog comes into kennels. Most vaccines provide cover for 1 year. We only accept Intrac for 6 months.


Although we provide bedding you are welcome to bring your own with the exclusion of bean bags, feather duvets and heavy bedding that will not go in our washing machine.

You are also welcome to bring your dogs own toys and treats if you wish.

All bedding, toys, treats etc. must be clearly named.

Fernilea cannot be held responsible for any damage that your dog does to his/her belongings or to themselves as a result of playing with or eating these items.

Dog Health and Welfare

All dogs should be up to date with their worming and de-flea treatments.

Please inform us of any medical conditions that we may need to know about.

All medications must come with clear directions.

We request that you provide contact details either for yourself or a representative whilst you are away in case of any emergency.

Fernilea reserves the right to make the right decision regarding your dog providing we are at all times acting in the best interest of your dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.

Fernilea have the right to refuse any dog that risks the welfare of itself, our staff or other dogs in our care at any time.
